Women Against Suffrage
The purpose of this website is to educate, inform, and provide resources for people interested in becoming informed about the reasons why women did not want to vote. The majority of women did not want to change the status quo, and wanted to maintain their current, established roles in society. It was, in fact women fighting against other women. Women, as opposed to men, attempted to stop other women from gaining the right to vote. This website examines their arguments and reasons for wanting to keep things they way they were.
